Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about the Spellcraft experience. If you have additional questions or need more clarity, please do not hesitate to call us at 707-239-1398

1. Is the booking private?

Yes! Your booking is a private experience. You will only Spellcraft with your group.  All the rooms are self-guided, except for the Wax Workshop where a Curator is always on hand to answer questions and guide you through the candle making process.

2. Can children Participate?

Children ages 9 and up are invited. The rooms were curated and designed for adults, & tweens/teens in mind.  These curated rooms are immersive and there are antiques in the rooms.  Also, since this is primarily self-guided, if there are children under 13 in your group, there must be at least one paying accompanying adult.  If it is a large group of under 13, we ask there be 1 adult per 6 youths.

3. How many people can participate?
There must be at least 4 people in order to make a private booking, and your group can be as large as 14 participants.  If you are a group larger than 14, contact us, we may be able to accomodate up to 18 with some modifications to your booking.

4. Can we wear costumes?

YES PLEASE!  Costumes are not mandatory, but certainly encouraged.  Put on your dwarf ears, your fairy flower head wreaths, your witch hats, your wizard cloaks, and anything else that makes the magic more fun.  These spaces have been specially curated to transport you into a number of magical realms...we like cosplay!  But please note; you will be asked to park your brooms, swords and any other stick like pieces by the door.

6. Can we take pictures?

When you check in we provide lockers (you get the key) to put away valuables, purses...and yes, phones. If you use reading glasses, we encourage you to have them available, so don't leave them in the locker...yes, there are instructions and magical recipes to read.  Otherwise, you will need your hands free to Spellcraft and explore.  Also, these spaces are much more magical when modern technology is removed, then you can be fully transported to another time and place.  Although the rooms are not a secret, there is something magical about walking into each space not knowing what to expect, let's not ruin that magic for anyone else with pictures.  We appreciate your cooperation.  There is an oppotunity at the end of your booking for group pictures with magical backdrops to share on Social Media...and we hope you do!

7. What on Earth is 'Spellcrafting'?

It's anything you make it! We like to think of it as crafting with intention, but it's however you want to enjoy Spellcraft Curator.  It can be just for fun, but if you're more magically inclined, you may want to focus your intentions as you craft...either way, it's up to you!  There are multiple rooms with different actvities, challenges, hidden objects. It's not just crafting.

8. Will we finish all the activities in each room?

You might, but you likely won't.  You have a little more than an hour to explore and Spellcraft.  It is self-guided therefore it just depends on your choices, and what things pique your interest most.  The goal of the experience at Spellcraft Curator is to be present while you explore and craft, so spend more time with what catches your interest most.  You're in charge of your time and how you use it.

9. Are all the activities just around making things?

No, you'll have the opportunity to craft your critical thinking skills, there is magic afoot to solve or uncover (BUT it's not an escape room!) You'll also have the opportunity to craft your intuition in the Divining Den. Other activities include decipering a secret message, activites and games, hidden surprises to find, and history to discover.  Each room is different with activies and crafts that match the room's theme.

10. Do we get to keep the things we make?

Yes, it's all included in the price.  You will take home your candle, your wand, your herbal mixture, metal coin/pendant, and more.  There are even hidden items to be found for you to take home, but there are also activities where items need to stay in the rooms, and we appreciate your cooperation in this.

11. What if we discover we want MORE?

We sincerely hope you do want more!  For example, if you discovered you like a certain craft and would like to learn more, we have classes and workshops that expand your crafting skills and knowledge.  You'll find workshops & classes under bookings.

12. How do I book and pay for a private booking?

Click the "Book" tab on the top of the website to reserve your day and time and then follow the directions. After you book, follow the online payment directions. We accept all major credit cards.

13. We've booked, but I would like to add more participants?

There's room for up to 14 people.  You can go into your reservation, which is emailed to you after you book, and add participants, so bring your procrastinating and last minute friends.  You can also contact us and we can add them to your booking beforehand as well.  They can pay when you arrive, as long as you don't surpass the alotted participant number, using cash, card or Venmo upon arrival, but we do encourage adding them before your booking that way the time for payment processing doesn't eat into your booking time.

14. Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes, but if you don't see a day/time that works for your group, give us a call, we may be able to accommodate a different day/time.

15. Are the tickets refundable?

No, sorry, all purchases are final. There are no refunds for cancellations or no-shows. However, you may re-schedule your booking for a later date & time within 24 hours of the original booking.
